Army ROTC places third at regional competition
Ohio University’s Bobcat Battalion Army ROTC Ranger Challenge Team earned third place at the Bold Warrior Challenge, held October 25-27 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. In the Bold Warrior Challenge, 38 Army ROTC programs based in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee compete against each other.
During the weekend-long event, 11-member cadet teams are tested on their military knowledge, physical abilities, and mental agility. Events include land-navigation, building and crossing a one-rope bridge across a river, and a four-mile-long ruck run. The Bobcat Battalion team placed third for the third time in four years.

The next Army ROTC competition will take place this spring.
The Best Ranger Competition will feature competition between two-person teams from those same 38 ROTC programs in a similar weekend-long, real-time, 24/7 tactical competition. Last year, Bobcat Battalion cadets finished first, second, fourth, and fifth out of over 60 other teams.
